Mandala Botanecae

In the heart of a flower you'll find the Cosmos. These Mandala Botanecae are my version of traditional mandalas. Some in this series are from the humblest of flowers such as Dandelion and Shepard's Purse. Others are the ultimate hothouse flowers such as Orchids. All are a miniature Cosmos.

I use these Flower Manadals in meditation exercises accompanied by music. They flow in a series of interconnected images just like when you turn a kaleidoscope. This quiets the mind, stops the chatter, and allows the meditative state to “flower”

Mandala Botanecae Gladiola

The glads come from this wonderful "glad farm" at the edge of town.

Sometimes I call these the "oh my God" series because I tend to say that a lot when I'm working on them and they pop on the screen for the first time ....

One of many many kaleidoscope flower images, luv, luv, luv
This is my "dive off the deep end of the pool" series and finding it wasn't a pool but an ocean!
